How does an outdoor family photoshoot work?
The best times of the day for an outdoor photoshoot is 'golden hour', this is the last or first hour of sunlight in the day. So sunrise or sunset! It is when the light is nice and soft and golden and gives images that dreamy look! I have a number of locations I can recommend for the shoot, or I am happy to work with location requests. These sessions are fun, and will be a mix of some simple group shots and then natural fun images of your family interacting and playing with each other, because that's where the magic happens! So be prepared to play with your kids, not just sit or stand around smiling! If your family has an activity they enjoy doing together (ie. horse riding/surfing/skating/bike riding/jetty jumping) and you would love to incorporate these into your shoot, then I would love to hear about it. These sessions are all about capturing the essence of your little family and having memories to keep forever.
How does a session in your home work?
Photoshoots in your home are a great way to really tell your family story! In your own space, capturing aspects of your life in a place that's comfortable. You absolutely do not need to have a fancy house, and you do not need to spend the whole day before cleaning it! A vacuum and a clean kitchen bench will be perfect! These sessions are best done in the morning or later afternoon when we can capture some gorgeous sunlight streaming in the windows!
Price - $540 : 1 hour family photoshoot (this price is for immediate family only)
and 40 full high resolution professionally edited digital images delivered on an online gallery, with the option to purchase extra individual images, entire gallery and printing and frame options if desired.
A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The final payment only needs to be paid by the day of the photoshoot.

Where will we do the outdoor photoshoot?
I have a number of locations that I like to do shoots in, but if you have a place that you would like to go, we can make it work. Anywhere over a 45min drive will incur an extra travel fee.
What is the best time of day for a family photoshoot?
For outdoors - The best time of the day is absolutely Golden Hour - the last hour of sunlight of the day. Or early in the morning. But, I understand that this often isn't the most convenient for little people. But, trust me it is total worth it to get that golden glow!
In Home shoots - 9-11am in the morning or after 3pm in the afternoon.
What should we wear?
The best thing to wear is colours that go well together but aren't too matchy (ie don't all wear jeans and white shirts). Muted tones often photograph better, and try to steer away from black and colours like bright orange and red! And definitely avoid anything with large logos! I always recommend a nice flowing dress for the Mums as they always look gorgeous, and you don't have to worry too much about 'fixing' your clothes during the shoot. But, the most important thing is that you (and the kids) feel comfortable.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Don't panic! I can shoot in all types of weather, except Rain. And if it is raining, we can easily reschedule.

What if my kids won't sit still for photos
Don't worry! As a Mum of 3 very quick kids, I know exactly what it is like! Often the best shots at the natural ones where they are engaging with their family! Most of the time most kids can still manage a couple of posed family shots. But, I'm all about having fun!
Do we have to buy prints?
No! I deliver all my images on an online password protected digital gallery so that you can download your files and print them on your own terms.
Will you travel?
Yes! But travel to anywhere more than 1 hour from Geelong will incur an extra travel fee!
