Geelong Sunset Maternity Photoshoot
When you are pregnant, it feels like you will be pregnant forever! But, as a Mum who is done having children, and now, looking back on it, there are parts of being pregnant that I miss. Knowing I will never feel those kicks from the inside again, and never have that amazing (and stomach-emptying) feeling that your body is creating a new life, oh and to be able to take an afternoon nap and still be able to sleep that night. It is fleeting, and it is a special moment in time that deserves to be remembered and cherished! And, my passion, is to capture these life defining moments, to preserve them in an authentic and individual way.
I just love these maternity photoshoots. And even though I have been pregnant three times myself, I am still completely in awe of what our bodies are capable of! The beauty and strength of Motherhood. These photoshoots can include just the Mama. Or your partner and children can be included as well. In a relaxed unposed outdoor family photoshoot, where you dance and play and enjoy the precious time together. Not awkward, I won't make you do weird cheesy poses, I promise! I'll prompt you, and guide you, but it will be about You and your family!
This Maternity photoshoot was down in Barwon Heads, with a gorgeous Mumma having her first baby, which is all the more special. She is wearing a gorgeous Boho dress that is in my client closet and available for anyone to wear on their photoshoots with me. The sun was gorgeous and pink as it was setting behind her, to make for a brilliant backdrop.
You will never regret the photos that you take, only those that you do not.
So, if you've been thinking about a maternity shoot, don't hesitate, these shoots are best done between 30-36 weeks, when you have a beautiful big bump, but there is less risk that you will go into labour mid-shoot!
